Corner Booth

So I have come to the heartbreaking conclusion that the bar patrons in Mount Lookout Square just don't want to hear original music. I remember talking to a musician friend of mine about a year and a half ago who claimed he had gone to the "Dark Side," playing covers, because that's all anyone would respond to. At the time I swore that the day would never come when I would join...but I fear that day is fast approaching. Last week I split my set at the open mic at Millions between covers and my original music and, with the exception of "Friend Zone," I got a much better response from the covers. That being said I've spent the past couple of years writing and playing my own songs so I've forgotten many of the covers I once knew. Be My Yoko Ono, Anna Begins, and Hit Me Baby One More Time (that's right I said it) just aren't gonna cut it for very much longer. This is where you guys come in. I need some suggestions on other songs I should play. The comment board is open.
