Self Realization...
-I enjoy coffee and wine, but most of the time drink mt. dew and beer
-I hate when my patients call me "Doctor Brandon". I'm a nurse and very proud of that
-I don't know what I want to be when I grow up
-Only a choice few people know what my real favorite color is...and of them, only one knows what my second favorite is
-I'd much rather see a sunrise than a sunset
-I consider driving down the street to get beer an errand
-I could eat shrimp for every meal and be fine with it
-I could go see a Broadway show on Saturday night, then watch NASCAR on Sunday and consider the weekend a success
-I used to have a much better sense of style than I do now
-I hate how long my hair is, but don't want to get it cut
-When faced with a decision, I will consistently pick the one that makes my life more complicated
-I'd much rather hear a band play their originals than covers
-Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress
-Paul Newman and John Cusack are my favorite actors
-I can't wait for the Transformers movie to come out, but I know I won't see it in the theater
-I love mornings, but rarely see them
-I like to think I would enjoy going to an art gallery, but have never been to one
-If I don't know what color a girl's eyes are after meeting her a couple of times then I can never date her
-I overthink every situation
-If I met my 19 year old self on the street...he'd kick my ass
-I love playing guitar, but wish I played piano and/or harmonica
-Every joint in my body cracks
-I love my job, but hate going to work
-If there was a channel that played "Scrubs" 24 hours a day I would not need a remote
-I would love to travel to Europe...and never site-see
-I like giving gifts much more than receiving them
-If I put my stethoscope around my neck at the beginning of the shift I will wear it all night, even if I don't use it
-Most every nursing student that comes on my floor is older than me...that sucks
-I have a tendency to miss things I've never had
-My favorite flavor ice cream is french vanilla
-I think asking someone's "Top 5" on any subject is a great way to get to know them
-I smoke too much
-I drink too much
-I have insomnia, but hated how I felt when I took meds for it
-I'm damn good at my job
-If I'm in a deep conversation with a patient I will pick up whatever dialect he/she has
-When I get upset my "redneck" accent comes out
-I want kids, but my patients make me rethink that on a daily basis
-I have a new obsession with "Aqua Teen Hunger Force"
-Zach Braff is the new John Cusack

Forgot Your Password???
How long has it been since I've blogged???? So long that Blogger made me re-enter my user name and password...neither of which I remembered. After about 15 minutes of pure cardiac arrest I finally got it right and I can now speak to you wonderfuls once again. So, after my hiatus I thought I would post some random thoughts:
1. I went to my brother's play tonight. It was "The Sound Of Music," a show I have hated my entire life...but he was amazing. His ad-libbing was phenomenal and the ovation he got when he took his final bow was enough that I had to fight back tears.
2. I'm writing music again. I finally have some inspiration, but the fact that I haven't written in forever makes it difficult to just pick it right back up again. I find myself frustrated a lot because my work isn't as good as it was when I stopped. I'll get there.
3. I've decided to restock my entire wardrobe with zip-up hoodies. It's going to take a while, but I'm confident I can do it. I figure, why not own as many zip-up hoodies as possible? They're soooo comfy. Tonight I took a big step in this process by purchasing this gem via the web:
Some day Joshua Radin will rule the world and this will be our uniform.
4. The hair is out of control...add the beard feature and a kid on the unit started calling me "Jesus" the other day...if only you knew, young man, if only you knew...
5. Schuyler Fisk may be my new favorite musician...she sings with Radin a lot and "Paperweight" is freaking amazing.
Ok, that's enough from me. I have to wake up to watch the Bengals vs. Chargers. It's going to be a great game. Hope you're all doing well.
